laura Altman, LCSW
My training is vast and includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapies which enables me to tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation for healing and growth, and my objective is to create a compassionate and safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely. I am excited to work with individuals and couples to identify their goals, amend undesirable behaviors, improve relationship patterns, and achieve greater self-acceptance.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have a special interest in helping individuals with depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, relationship issues, and a variety of symptoms and life stressors. I am an active and supportive clinician who provides feedback and input while meeting clients where they are – with compassion and kindness.
